Top Rock, Heritage Stone

This is a Heritage Stone Top Rock with Piedmont Buff mortar. This home is located in Mayberry subdivision in Virginia Beach, VA. Teger Stones installed the stone. Good looking job.

What sort of price range does stone like this fall under? Also, how much does price differ between different types of stone, such as, say, granite and sandstone?

Adam, Thanks for your question. This stone is around $4.10 per square foot. The price is depended on location of the job in relation to trucking fees. You can figure 4 to 5 bags of mortar per 100 square feet, then you have sand and labor costs.

This stone is a man made product. (cement) If you were to use granite or sandstone, the big cost would be in the labor. The man made labor cost is between $8 to $14 per square foot, whole stone could be between $25 to $50 per square foot. However, I do supply natural thin veneered stone. The labor cost would be the man made stone installation cost due to the application process. The cost of this stone ranges between $8 to $11 per square foot. Labor cost savings is the big cost reduction and have real stone. Other man made stones could range between $4 to $7.50 per square foot.
